About Maggoosh

Margarita remembers herself “always playing with beads and things to craft.” She followed her dream of becoming a jewelry designer by establishing her own brand, Maggoosh, at the age of 19 while studying at the Gemological Institute of America. After college she worked for a showroom in New York, providing her with valuable insights into how the fashion and jewelry industries function.

Besides her design work, Margarita nurtures a deep passion for dance, a legacy passed down from her great grandmother who was a renowned choreographer: “I’ve had a big love for dance as long as I can remember – which is the same for jewelry. My obsession with both started at the age of three!” While developing her passion for jewelry into a global business, Margarita embarked on a parallel journey as a professional breakdancer. With over a decade dedicated to training and competing, she won multiple placements in prestigious international competitions. Margarita’s sensitivity to the body and its myriad expressions continues to closely inform her jewelry creations and the brand identity of Maggoosh.
