Unveiling 2024 Lucky Charm – The Lucky Spin
Embarking on the journey to design Maggoosh’s 2024 Lucky Charm, my heart was stirred by the stark images of children facing the harsh realities of wars and climate-induced displacements. In a world where innocence often collides with adversity, I found inspiration into humanity’s earliest toys – the spinning top. Today, I am thrilled to share this deeply personal creation, a twirling tribute to childhood.
The spinning top, a symbol of joy and simplicity, encapsulates the carefree play, the carefree life every child deserves. Reflecting on the contrast between children at play and those enduring crises, this contemplation fuelled my commitment to support humanitarian organisations who provide relief to children affected and their families (more information coming soon).
Much like the spinning top’s reliance on luck to balance, I draw a parallel to the randomness of a child’s birthplace, a circumstance determining whether they’re born in privilege or amidst conflict. Join me in weaving joy into childhood and contributing to a brighter future for children worldwide.
